School Board News

Here are some of the highlights from the School board meeting on March 14th.:

  • The Queen of the Rosary Spring Fundraiser Gala, netted over $45,000.  That is approximately $4,000 more than last year's total.  Thanks in part to a great effort by Annamarie Gullo, Dana Arciniegas, Mary Schnitzer, Kari Gbur, Ms. McGinn and Countless others, this fundraiser was a complete success.  Our gratitude to our school families, Queen of the Rosary parishioners and all of those who attended and contributed  goes without saying.

  • This year we have added a third fundraiser intended to involve our students.  The "Walk-a-Thon", scheduled for Friday, May 19th, will offer students the opportunity to take pride with their fundraising.  Stay tuned for details!

  • QR is dedicated to providing our students with the best possible learning experience that we can offer.  We are currently working on a plan that would completely overhaul our wireless access points throughout the school.  This plan would give us secured wireless access in every classroom and most areas throughout the school enabling our teachers to blend the best of both worlds with their current teaching methods and technology.  This would allow for a more individualized learning system that can be customized to every student.  A small increase to the technology fee would account for the upgraded internet service required to handle this.
