Catholic Schools Week

January 2023

Please join us on Sunday, January 29 for National Catholic School Week’s Open House, our annual celebration of what makes a Queen of the Rosary School education outstanding. Starting with the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, January 29, we have activities planned to celebrate the community, as well as our students, as they learn about their faith and the skills that will benefit them in the 21st century.

The theme of our celebration is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service,” which focuses on the core of Catholic education. Schools are not only communities themselves, they are also part of larger communities, including Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Elk Grove Village, the Chicago area, and our nation. The theme also highlights  key elements of Catholic education: faith development, academic excellence and dedication to service. These elements set Catholic schools apart from other educational options. They are why families make sacrifices to provide their children with a Catholic education, and they are what make Catholic schools succeed.

As we celebrate National Catholic Schools Week, I would like to thank Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, parishioners, and staff  for their continued support of our school. We are  grateful for your prayers and contributions that enable us to continue to succeed.

I hope you will visit Queen of the Rosary on Sunday, January 29 from Noon to 1:30 PM during the school’s Open House to view students’ work, see a demonstration of our climbing wall, and visit with our clergy, faculty, staff, board members and families. Please bring your friends and neighbors, particularly those who may be considering Catholic education for their children.

I am grateful every day for the teachers, staff, board members, parents and volunteers who make our school a success and thank them for their dedication and service.
