ALUMNI COMMITTEE
A neat aspect about QR is the number of alumni who choose to send their children to the school and follow in their footsteps! Not surprisingly, these parents are very involved and want to continue to help the school they love. However, while they essentially make up our alumni committee, by default, they need lots of help with alumni outreach, and with creating an ongoing alumni group/club that maintains connection to, and acts as a strong resource for, the school. Some of the challenges they are faced with:
- Creating and maintaining an up-to-date alumni database;
- Implementing consistent outreach to the alumni population (e.g. periodic newsletter, annual giving campaign);
- Planning periodic alumni events;
- Considering how to best engage and stay connected to alumni in all post-QR stages of life (i.e. high school, college, young adult, married and raising families, retirees, etc.).
